Digital Scrapbooking Software for iPad

There you sit with an iPhone or iPad loaded with Photographs.

What in the blue blazers do you do with them all?

My best advice to you… take a look at Keynote

But how to use Keynote for digital scrapbooking on the iPad…

…that’s the kicker.

Well, for that a little knowledge is required …

So, here’s what I did to become educated in the art of mobile scrapbooking for iPad & iPhone …

I signed up for a course on it with Renee Pearson called iScrapit.

It’s just the first week and already we’ve learned how to do the following…

1. Create a New Presentation
2. Manoever the Keynote Workspace
3. Replace Placeholders
4. Add a New Slide
5. Add and Style Photos
6. Mask (Crop) Photos
7. Slide Transition Effects
8. Magic Move Effect

Roll on week 2…this is good stuff

Digital Scrapbook Page – Delightfully Different Forever Intertwined

Last week on the Digital Scrapper Blog they were celebrating their 9th Birthday!

Happy Birthday Digital Scrapper.

As part of the celebrations they provided a free template download created by Barb Brookbank that could be used in this months template challenge.

Well a free template is always appreciated and who doesn’t love a good Challenge?

I created the page above with black and white photographs of my girls and used the Anna Aspnes Family ArtPlay Palette to clip to the template provided.

Are your pages looking the way you want?

When you’re finished with a layout (after hours of trying to decide where to put things on the page) are you often left thinking …

well that’s not bad but it doesn’t look as professional as the ones I’ve seen on the forums.

Don’t worry here’s a digital scrapbook templates free download link.

If your pages are, shall we say, a little all over the place you can follow a few simple steps (included in the pdf that accompanies the free download) to quickly improve the speed of your scrappin and the quality of your finished page.

Use a template stop trying to reinvent the wheel

If you just drag and drop photos and elements onto a page willy nilly with no thought to design, you’re going to end up with one un holy mess!

• Why do we always think we need to reinvent the wheel?
• We’ve all got busy lives, right?
• Why not take all the help we can get?

Let the designers worry about where things should go and let the scrappers get on with the serious business of documenting your life story so generations to come can laugh their heads off.

Use It: Downloading a template allows us to concentrate on the bigger picture, the photos and the stories we want to tell.

Journaling reads

Sunday 24th August 2012 Rob, Jessie and I went down to the Plymouth Waterfront to see the HMS Bounty a replica of the famous British warship, and star of the 1962 movie Mutiny on the Bounty and Disney’s Pirates of the Caribean, Dead Man’s Chest.

We had a walk along the water front and of course ice cream was involved, the only sad thing was that Emma was working and missed out on the very enjoyable afternoon.
