03/28/11 — Free Themed Digital Scrapbooking Kits

Doesn’t everyone love Free?
I know I do.
I also enjoy creating a page using free themed digital scrapbooking kits.
Take the page above, now I print my 12×12 pages at Persnickety Prints and those lovely folks are always giving away free kits on their facebook page.
In my mind I had a photograph and particular kit I wanted to use, as earlier in the week Elizabeth Taylor the very epitome of glamour had passed away. My mother and father all dressed up in their finery (going on their honeymoon) has always said glamour to me (don’t you think they look like famous film stars?)
I needed a kit that would focus on that one photograph and suddenly I remembered the free black and white kit I had downloaded a few weeks ago (it would match perfectly as it had film rolls and a film frame.)
As look would have it the perfect Photoshop type tutorial came up on the NAPP website (membership site) for creating the star text I wanted to use on my page.
Really pleased with how this digital scrapbook page turned out, as I have had this photograph for the longest time, but never gotten around to scanning it let alone creating something with it (I am a little sad that it took such a beautiful lady to die to kick start me into action).
I think I’ll send it off for printing then buy a scrapbook picture frame and give it to my mum when she visits from dear old Blighty in a few weeks time.
Cheers,
Groobers
