I Recently did a post on friendfeed Why I love It So and decided today to create a short report on friendfeed which you can download if you are interested in learning about this valuable service.

If you wander around the internet searching for information or sparkling conversation you may just like to download this free report.

Contained within the report you will discover :

An introduction to friendfeed and how to write your own bio and read other peoples

Ways to pause real time updates so you can add to the conversation

Create a group around a particular subject and ways to post information to it

Methods to search and filter information and to share friendfeed entries

Friendfeed really is a one stop shop for interesting information and sparkling conversation, with content from many different sites that your friends have shared on being feed into one place for you to read, digest, comment on or like,  which you might otherwise have missed out on if you were not a member of that particular site.

So I hope you enjoy my report and consider joining friendfeed, if you do I will see you around the place and look forward to your interesting information and sparkling conversations.

Cheers Groobers

I talked recently about creating some videos on how and what I create with my Digital Scrapbook Software, since that post I have been trying to decide how to best present my information (videos, tutorials, presentations etc), and of course I have been following a training course showing me how to create these things, so anyway at last I have one ready to go (video above please be gentle as this is my first attempt at a presentation).

I decided against doing video tutorials as to be honest there are so many fantastic ones out there already and I want to focus more on the great things anyone (trust me if I can do it anyone can) can achieve with their scrapbooking software and just a scrap of creativity.

Now I know you will all be thankful that I have saved you from my ugly mug, as this video is in a presentation format so you only have to put up with my dulcet tones this time.

I wanted to talk a little about friendfeed today. I have been using the service for about six months now and I must admit I am very impressed with it.

Friendfeed recently went through quite a few changes to its user interface for example it now updates in real time, provides the option to direct message people, allows you to write a short bio about yourself and my personal favorite lets you create filters for your searches.

Why I love friendfeed let me count the ways.

1. You can share information or things you are interested in lightening quick with all your friends or colleagues.  This can start a chain reaction if people enjoy what you are sharing they may comment or like the post.  Some very interesting conversations can be started on friendfeed. Like wise you can comment on or like what your friends have shared (all in real time).

2. It's a one stop shop where you can add all your services that you may use already, for example YouTube,Flickr,Twitter, digg and many more keeping them all together in one place.  Someone who never visits these sites normally would then be able to see the information or pictures that you provide at different places around the web.

3. With friendfeed you can make your feed private or leave it public so that anyone can see it. A private feed will allow you to approve every person who wants access to your feed and anything you post will not be seen by anyone else. If you decide on a public feed you still have the ability for privacy by using the direct message facility.

4. Friendfeed allows you to create a group around a particular topic for example I created a friendfeed group called Everything Scrapbooking where I post anything of interest about digital, hybrid and traditional scrapbooking. You can also join any other groups which may be of interest to you. Another great feature of friendfeed is the friendfeed bookmarklet which gives you the ability to post anything of interest that you find around the web either to your feed or your group or both.

5. You can also send an email to your feed or to your group which you can add a photo to if you so desire.

So give friendfeed a whirl I think you will enjoy the experience. Below this post I have included the links to my feed, and my Everything-Scrapbooking and Create-It rooms.  I would love to see you around friendfeed please feel free to join my friendfeed room if the topics I post are of interest to you.

One final thing you may be interested in how I learned about friendfeed, this may be an interesting  post for another time but for today I will just say have you heard of the 30 Day Challenge?

I can not take the credit for finding friendfeed, I would have had absolutely no clue about this service if it had not been for a certain guy who I am sure must be in his prime because he is one hell of a  passionate teacher, so do yourself a favor and learn a little more about the 30DC I have also included the link for this as well.
